Let’s Talk Sheep preliminary VERY SHORT, SUPER QUICK survey is now live! Calling all involved in the SA Sheep Industry to participate NOW….there are only 10 questions!

We are inviting those involved in the wool and sheep meat industries from all regions of SA– including producers, to sellers and service providers – to participate in this project by completing this quick survey. It will provide useful information to inform a more collaborative strategy for improved communications along the SA sheep industry value-chain.

This survey will form the first stage of ‘Let’s Talk Sheep’, an initiative of SA Lamb Development Team (SALDT) funded by the Sheep Industry Fund through the SA Sheep Advisory Group (SASAG). Results of this survey will shape Stage 2 of the study, a targeted telephone survey reaching different segments of the SA Sheep Industry.

Leaving your contact details for willingness to participate in Stage 2 of the study will enter you in the prize draw to win a dozen bottles of wine – donated by SALDT and Bartagunyah Estate, Southern Flinders Ranges.

Let’s talk sheep will be visiting the show – Thursday 10th September, with copies of the survey to fill out.

Targeting all those involved in the sheep industry in SA, surveys will be handed out primarily in the Sheep and Grain Pavillions.

Let’s Talk Sheep

Funding has been released for a study into ‘Targeted Communication Solutions for the South Australian Sheep Industry’. The Minister for Agriculture Food and Fisheries, The Honourable Paul Caica MP, approved ‘Let’s Talk Sheep’, an initiative of SA Lamb Development Team (SALDT) funded by the Sheep Industry Fund through the SA Sheep Advisory Group (SASAG).

‘Let’s Talk Sheep’ will be facilitated by Kristin Alford and Alexandra Smart from industry development and communications consultancy Bridge8 Pty Ltd.

“We are working closely with an enthusiastic group of representatives from industry bodies including SALDT, SASAG, the Department of Primary Industries and Resources of South Australia (PIRSA), the South Australian Farmer Federation (SAFF), Merino SA, and the Sheep Industry Development Board (SIDB). This reference group are providing useful guidance on how to best identify issues with current communication pathways between industry bodies and the whole value chain”, said Alexandra Smart, Bridge8, formally from a sheep producing farm at Melrose in SA’s Mid North.”

Industry participants will be able take part when the survey is launched at www.letstalksheep.com in late August.
